8 Basic principles of self management
 
As a manager, before you start to manage others and exercise management authority, you must first learn self-management. This is the primary task of the manager and the prerequisite for doing a good job in management.
 
After learning and practicing, I realized that to do self-management, we must adhere to the following “eight basic principles”:

 

1.The principle of purpose –

 
Everyone has a wish or a dream, and there are also work goals, but not many people who have carefully considered their career plans. The realization of career planning requires strong self-management skills.
People with goals are not the same as those without goals. There are obvious differences in mental outlook, fighting spirit, tolerance, personal attitude, interpersonal relationship, and life attitude. Through class reunion, the reasons for success or failure can be clearly seen.
Determine your career goals and fight for it unswervingly. You won’t regret it after 20 years!

 

2.The principle of efficiency –

 
Wasting time is tantamount to wasting life. Everyone knows this. However, we have at least 1/3 of the time doing invalid work, and we are wasting our time and life! Therefore, it is necessary to analyze and record your own time, and rationally arrange your own time in accordance with the principle of improving efficiency, and implement it as planned in practice as much as possible.
Stick to it, you will find that your time is abundant, your work is free, your efficiency is improved, and your confidence is enhanced.

 

3.The principle of results –

 
Self-management must also adhere to the principle of giving priority to results. When doing any work, you must first consider what effect this work will have and what effect it has on the achievement of the goal. This is an important principle in arranging the order of self-management work.
Do not do anything with the results, and give it to others.

 

4.The principle of superiority –

 
Make full use of your strengths and advantages to actively carry out work, so as to achieve twice the result with half the effort. This is a very important principle of self-management.
No one is perfect, you can’t eliminate your own shortcomings, and all have the advantages. Then you are God, not human.

 

5.The principle of affairs –

 
Doing work is a priority, and important things are done first. In the ABC rule, we put A and important work in the first place to be completed. In self-management, the important work of category A is closely related to the realization of career planning. It is necessary to prioritize and make great efforts to do well.

 

6.The principle of decision making –

 
First, decision-making should be decisive, and indecision is a taboo for self-management. If you think about it, you have to fix it quickly. Second, the implementation must be determined. No matter how much resistance you encounter, you must implement it unswervingly. The third is to implement quickly. It will be implemented quickly, seize the opportunity, and work hard.

 

7.Inspection principle –

 
Practice is the standard for testing truth. Whether the goal of self-practice is correct or not requires practice to test. We must adhere to the “people-oriented mirror”, collect and solicit opinions and suggestions from colleagues in a timely manner, and check the actual effects of self-management.

 

8.Reflection principle –

 
Self-management should also be periodically reflected. Examine your own target performance, analyze problems in self-management, and develop adjustments and corrections. From the reality of implementation, we will ensure that self-management develops healthily.
